Garrett Jimenez

Garrett Jimenez has been an integral part of the PHOENIX team since 2010. His primary focus is strategic business development and providing best-in-class MSR and Whole Loan advisory services to a broad spectrum of buyers and sellers, ranging from small independent mortgage banks to REITs, private equity, HFAs, and money center banks. He specializes in mortgage asset trading in bulk and flow formats, MSR valuation services, as well as servicing oversight and due diligence. Garrett is an active participant in the mortgage banking industry and can be found speaking at various national and regional conferences.

His deep knowledge of MSR trading stems from nearly 10 years of leadership within the PHOENIX Transaction Management Division, where he directly oversaw the successful execution of hundreds of bulk and co-issue transactions. He also spent several years under the PHOENIX Analytics umbrella, where he learned the intricacies of MSR modeling by providing portfolio valuations for some of the largest and most sophisticated originators in the space.

A Colorado native, Garrett brings prior experience in securities research and trading from a privately held investment management firm. He holds a B.S. in Finance from the Arizona State University WP Carey School of Business. Outside of the office, Garrett is an avid skier, biker, and enjoys traveling abroad.
