Brian Cerise

Brian Cerise, Senior Vice President of Whole Loan Trading, joined PHOENIX via the acquisition of his prior firm, Steel Mountain Capital Management, in 2014. He has been engaged in the mortgage industry for over 20 years with roles encompassing retail and wholesale origination, retail branch management, lock desk management, and currently, he leads the PHOENIX Whole Loan trade desk. Brian has been involved in thousands of transactions, benefiting both buy-side and sell-side clients, including independent mortgage banks, depository institutions, REITs, and private investors.

Brian’s extensive experience, continuing education in industry products, regulatory demands, and servicing practices have made him a frequent industry speaker and trusted advisor in the Whole Loan and Mortgage Servicing Rights markets. He received his B.A. in Economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder. A Colorado native, Brian enjoys mountain biking, skiing, and camping with his family.
